Recruitment of Expats – General Information

All of MADERA's expatriate staff are employed under French law (we do not recruit any volunteers).

The proposed salaries vary between 2 000 to 3 500 Euros monthly, depending on the position and experience required. In addition, expatriates enjoy benefits for working abroad as well as housing and rest and recuperation breaks.

Development Projects

For its different projects, MADERA regularly seeks professionals in the following areas: rural animation, agronomy, forestry, civil engineering, hydraulics, socio-economics...

We require a minimum of 2 years experience working in developing countries. The duration of proposed contract is approximately 1 year, mostly renewable (a commitment of at least two years in MADERA is strongly desired).

Emergency Response

MADERA also occasionally implements short emergency-type programs by way of  "Food-for-Work"  or “Cash-for-Work” activities such as the creation and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, snow removal...

To oversee these projects, MADERA recruits logisticians and project managers experienced in this type of action (management of large teams on multiple sites, experience in distribution, ability to live in conditions of isolation). The duration of the missions vary between 4 to 6 months.
